...we were getting into the Christmas spirit...in JULY!
part 1
Background:
For their 2016 Christmas TV campaign, online photo printing company Photobox wanted to try something a little different. They wanted to produce a series of ads that "felt real". An ad that featured real people capturing real moments that would make great Photobox gifts. Although the commercial was to be filmed in the UK, it was going out across Europe, so part of the brief was to source locations that didn’t look typically English.
Production:
So, once we convinced the client all of the above could be achieved in Devon we set about casting real people and genuine Photobox customers from the Torbay area. We also sourced locations in and around Torbay and South Hams in Devon including a seaside pier, a field with a campervan and a boxing ring!
Results:
The TV campaign ran in the UK and France and stills from the shoot were featured in a OOH campaign that ran on the London Underground.

That time when we were getting into the Christmas spirit - in JULY!
part 2
Background:
For their 2018 Christmas TV campaign, Wonderbly, the personalised children's picture books wanted something even more Christmassy and more emotional than their previous campaign. The client had a limited budget and were happy to consider cast, crew and locations in Devon and Cornwall. To achieve the emotional aspect of the campaign, we were also tasked to source real people to appear in the commercial rather than actors.
